"pleasure measure: orgasmus datenbank berlin 2.0 - intimate pleasure" war ein gemeinsames projekt von netart-datenbank.org und dem slowenischen (netz-)künstler igor stromajer. aus der ursprünglichen idee, einen künstler einzuladen, um vor ort ein projekt zu realisieren, wurde auf stromaiers anregung hin ein fünftägiger workshop, dessen ergebnisse dem publikum anschließend in form eines environments präsentiert wurden.

[...]than we could use different (existing, or artificial / real and imaginary) devices, instruments, hardware and software (computers, video, sound, animations, scripts, whatever), to present this measuring and to put our working process plus the results (documentation) in a form of an interactive installation (in whatever form we'll decide to make it) in your ex-bookshop and on the web. plus this is where we could use the techniques of databases to store different different data about the process and the results.
we could create an interactive environment, an atmosphere (in the bookshop) which could offer to the visitors a retro scientific look, with all these machines, sounds, videos etc. something like a laboratory for measuring machine's pleasure (orgasms in our case). so we could maybe also invite them to bring their machines (whatever kind of machines), to interact with our machines, and to measure their pleasure. das environment nahm die technik des computers aus dem zusammenhang ihrer funktionalität und richtete den blick auf die "fehler" von hard- und software, welche in der regel mit panik und überforderung seitens der nutzer verbunden sind. gerade der eindruck der disfunktionalität der gezeigten objekte, verringerte die berührungsängste der besucher und ermutigte zur (inter)aktiv kreativen auseinandersetzung mit dem medium abseits eines intendierten benutzerverhaltens.
